Become a Golden Ambassador

Senior Marketplace Ambassador

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 8:00 AM – Noon
As Senior Market Place Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and supportive environment for our older adult community members. Your involvement will help ensure that our pantry operates smoothly, and that our visitors feel valued and engaged.

Grocery Delivery Ambassador

Every first and third Saturday. Time will be specified during onboarding
As a Grocery Delivery Volunteer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the independence of older adults by delivering their grocery purchases directly to their homes. Your support will not only provide them with essential items but also foster connections and reduce feelings of isolation.

Senior Social Ambassador

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 8:00 AM – Noon
As a Senior Meal Service Volunteer, you will bring joy and companionship to our senior participants. Your warm presence and commitment to service will help create a welcoming atmosphere, making mealtime an enjoyable and enriching experience.

Special Event Ambassador

Dates to be specified
As a Special Event Support Volunteer, you will serve as an ambassador for our organization, assisting with various fundraising events. Your enthusiasm and support will help create a welcoming atmosphere while raising vital funds for our programs and services.

Farm To Senior Marketplace Ambassador

Fridays (Spring and Fall Seasons)
As a Farm Senior Marketplace Volunteer, you will be instrumental in harvesting fresh produce that will be made available to older adults in our community. Your contributions will help provide nutritious options for seniors while creating a meaningful experience that connects volunteers and visitors alike.

We offer an open pantry concept where you can freely access a variety of nutritious and delicious food options tailored to their dietary needs and preferences. Volunteer Opportunity: Senior Market Place Support

Location: 3640 N 5t, Ste. 130, North Las Vegas, NV 89032 
Schedule: * Flexible shifts available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 8am – 12pm.

Role Overview: 
As Senior Market Place Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and supportive environment for our older adult community members. Your involvement will help ensure that our pantry operates smoothly, and that our visitors feel valued and engaged. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with pantry setup and organization, ensuring a diverse selection of food options is available. 
  • Welcome and engage with older adults, helping them navigate the pantry and make choices that suit their dietary needs. 
  • Support visitors by providing information about food items, nutritional benefits, and meal ideas. 
  • Help maintain a clean and safe pantry environment, including restocking shelves and disposing of expired items. 
  • Facilitate social interaction among visitors, encouraging community building and connection.
  • Participate in training and workshops to better understand the needs of older adults and enhance your volunteering experience.


Qualifications

  • Passion for supporting older adults and promoting healthy living. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Our grocery delivery program helps older adults who can shop on their own but may need assistance in getting their groceries home safely.

Role Overview:
As a Grocery Delivery Volunteer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the independence of older adults by delivering their groceries directly to their homes. Your support will not only provide them with essential items but also foster connections and reduce feelings of isolation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist older adults in coordinating grocery purchases, ensuring they have what they need.
  • Deliver groceries to their homes, ensuring safe transport and handling.
  • Engage in friendly conversation during delivery, promoting social interaction and connection.
  • Report any concerns or needs expressed by the older adult to our team for follow-up.


Qualifications
:

  • A friendly and patient attitude, with a passion for helping older adults.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license if delivered by vehicle. Background check is required.
  • Good communication skills to interact positively with older adults.
  • Basic understanding of grocery items and dietary needs (training will be provided).
  • Annual certifications required.
